1.What Ask is, and what it is not
Mimicur Search is an information location tool. When you ask a question, Search retrieves links and images that already exist on the public web, displays them alongside a spoken answer, names the site each result came from, and links back to it.
Search does not host, store, cache, or copy the images it displays. Each image is loaded by your browser directly from the server of the site that published it. If that site removes the image, changes it, or blocks access, it disappears from Ask too, because Ask never held a copy in the first place.
The spoken answer is generated by an AI model and is Mimicur's own output. It is not taken from any of the linked sites.
2.Designated agent for copyright notices
Mimicur has designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

3.How to send a takedown notice
If you believe material accessible through Ask infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act for, send our designated agent a written notice containing the following, which are the elements 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) requires:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — for image results, the exact image URL and the Ask question or page where you saw it.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We act on complete notices expeditiously. Because Search does not host the material, the effective remedy is that we remove the link and suppress the result from future queries. The material itself remains on the site that published it, and only that site can remove it there.
Please note that 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) makes a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
4.Counter-notification
If material you published was suppressed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send our designated agent a counter-notification. It should contain your physical or electronic signature; identification of the material and the location where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number, together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for that address, and a statement that you will accept service of process from the complaining party.
5.Repeat infringers
Mimicur has adopted and reasonably implements a policy, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), of terminating in appropriate circumstances the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, and of suppressing from Ask results any source that is the subject of repeated valid notices.
6.Excluding your site from Ask
Ask obtains results from third-party search providers, which discover material through ordinary web crawling that publishers control with robots.txt and the X-Robots-Tag header. If you do not want your images to appear in image search results generally, the standard mechanisms apply — for example a robots.txt disallow, or the noimageindex directive.
If you would prefer your site excluded from Ask specifically, write to copyright@mimicur.com and we will suppress it, whether or not any claim of infringement is involved.
7.Trade marks and other complaints
For trade-mark concerns, publicity or privacy concerns, or any other objection to material appearing through Ask, write to legal@mimicur.com. We consider those on their merits. The addresses above are reserved for copyright so that copyright notices are never delayed behind other correspondence.
